About Hellgate Industries

As a newborn, Ernie Parada was abandoned on the benches of Union Square Park in downtown New York City. The local squirrels, well known for their outwardly friendly demeanor, took him in as one of their own. It was there that he developed his love for illustration, design, and unsalted nuts.

As an adolescent, he became a part of the burgeoning New York Hardcore scene. By virtue of being homeless, friendly with rodents, and completely vegetarian, he fit right in. His new family quickly recognized his penchant for crafting a catchy melody, he was promptly assigned the duty of composing musical material for the next 20 some odd years for various bands such as Token Entry, Black Train Jack, the Arsons, Higher Giant, Grey Area and Iron Maiden.

After attaining his degree in medicine from Johns Hopkins University, he yearned for the simple life of artistic endeavors, loud music and free bits of bread at the hands of the elderly. He went back to his first love of Illustration and design, and started Hellgate Industries, the marvelous collection of his work that you see before you now.
